An attorney representing the interests of city governments and the interests of management in all areas of labor and employment law, Brian C. Hey devotes the majority of his time reviewing employment issues with city administrators/managers as well as representing employers in state and federal courts. Prior to joining McMahon Berger, Brian was the city attorney for the City of Lake Ozark and the City of New Bloomfield, two fourth class cities located in Mid-Missouri.
Brian’s employment practice includes all facets of employment law, including employment discrimination claims under Title VII and the Missouri Commission on Human Rights, the American with Disabilities Act, and the Family and Medical Leave Act. He is involved in litigating employment discrimination claims as well as investigating and responding on behalf of management to employee claims before administrative agencies. Brian’s practice includes responding to the Missouri Restaurant Association’s hotline and drafting personnel language for city employee handbooks, employment contracts, and severance agreements.
