Since joining the Firm in 1985, John B. Renick has successfully represented employers in employment litigation in State and Federal courts and in labor arbitration proceedings throughout the country. Jury verdicts have been obtained for clients in numerous wrongful discharge and discrimination lawsuits. In addition to his expertise as a trial lawyer, John has successfully argued and handled cases at all levels of appellate courts, including the United States Supreme Court.

John’s prior experience as an attorney for the Labor Department has given him a unique perspective in defending employers and dealing with government investigations. The latter includes Equal Employment Opportunity Commission charges, Occupational Safety and Health Act inspections, Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs and Wage Hour audits, and various State employment practice charges. He is also able to consult and provide advice on labor and employment policies and issues so that employers can avoid the time and expense of litigation.

John regularly speaks at seminars for management associations and other institutions in the St. Louis area on employment related topics. He also conducts training on an individualized basis for clients to aid in their understanding of employment law requirements.
