Thomas M. Hanna was an attorney for the NLRB for four years specializing in prosecuting Unfair Labor Practice Cases. Tom spent the next forty years as an attorney with the firm and was Managing Partner for 17 of those years. While a member of the firm Tom was primarily a litigator before the NLRB, Federal and State courts and in private arbitration or serving as a negotiator of union contracts on behalf of clients. Tom has over thirty years experience defending employment discrimination cases as well as his forty plus years of practice before the NLRB. Tom retired as a full time partner in 2007 but remains actively engaged in the practice on a more limited basis.
Tom has retired from serving as the “first chair” in jury trial matters but actively participates in ongoing litigation in other areas of the defense in employment discrimination cases. Tom also remains active in all other aspects of the firm’s practice area including the negotiating of union and employment contracts, arbitrations, arbitrating and litigating non jury court matters as well as advising clients regarding a wide variety of legal matters including union avoidance, managing and limiting strikes, and ongoing matters such as avoiding or resolving issues regarding possible employment discrimination claims.
