McMahon Berger To Participate In Missouri HR Day of Service on May 5, 2017

The Missouri HR Day of Service, which is sponsored by the Human Resources Management Association (“HRMA”) and National Association of African Americans in Human Resources (“NAAAHR”), will take place in conjunction with MO HR Professional’s Day on May 5, 2017 at the United Way’s office in downtown St. Louis.  John Marino of McMahon Berger is the President of the HRMA.  This will be an excellent opportunity to give back to our community.

The HR Day of Service is targeted to the executive directors, human resources leaders, and other decision-making staff of local non-profit organizations.  The HRMA is partnering with the NAAAHR and the United Way to launch this event to unite as professionals and give back to the community.

During the first morning session, Brian O’Neal and Dean Kpere-Daibo of McMahon Berger will make a presentation on wage and hour law that addresses tips for avoiding common mistakes regarding the payment of exempt and non-exempt employees.  During the second morning session, Bryan LeMoine of McMahon Berger will moderate a panel discussion that will cover methods for non-profit organizations to retain talented employees and strategies for handling transitions occurring in key leadership positions.  A portion of the HR Day of Service will also be dedicated to HR volunteers providing help to St. Louis residents through resume review, practice interviews, and other advice related to increasing the chance of securing a job.
