Based in St. Louis, Missouri, she represents employers in Federal and State courts and before administrative agencies on discrimination claims, wrongful discharge claims, and other tort and contract claims. She also represents employers throughout the United States in complex and class action lawsuits under the WARN Act and other Federal statutes. As a skilled attorney, Michelle advises clients on all aspects of the employment relationship, including personnel policies, employment contracts, severance agreements, employee handbooks, and termination procedures. She works with employers to ensure compliance with Federal and State human rights laws, wage and hour laws, and plant closing laws.
Prior to joining McMahon Berger, Michelle was an associate at Sidley & Austin in Chicago. She has worked in the Civil Rights Division of the U.S. Department of Justice in Washington, D.C. She also served as a Judicial Law Clerk to U.S. District Judge William O. Bertelsman of the Eastern District of Kentucky.
