2019 Minimum Wage Update

As the end of the year approaches it is important for employers to begin looking to 2019 and be aware of the changes that must be instituted. Seventeen states, including Missouri, are increasing their minimum wage for 2019. This number does not include the multiple cities and counties across the country that have instituted their own minimum wage that will be increasing. Below is a link to a document that lists all of the states, their current minimum wage, the projected minimum wage for 2019 and any changes that have been announced in the years to follow. Unless otherwise noted, the effective date of the minimum wage increase is January 1, 2019. It should also be noted that the federal minimum wage will remain the same at $7.25/hour.
