Please join us for our next forum where we will be discussing ransomware attacks and the latest revisions to the Missouri Human Rights Act. Our next training seminar will be on Thursday, October 12, 2017 from 7:30 am – 9:30 am at the St. Louis Zoo Anheuser Busch Theatre (in the Living World).
Jarrett Kolthoff, President and CEO of SpearTip Cyber Counterintelligence, a former Special Agent – U.S. Army Counterintelligence, and Bryan LeMoine of McMahon Berger P.C. will discuss the growing threat to every business from ransomware, and how businesses should prepare in advance for a ransomware attack by implementing a protection system to blunt the ability of ransomware to impact a business, preparing an incident response plan in the case of a ransomware attack, and understanding the legal and practical implications of a ransomware attack on your business.
Michael Powers of McMahon Berger will discuss the 2017 revisions to the Missouri Human Rights Act. The revisions usher in a number of changes, the most important of which is to move the legal standard applicable to Missouri discrimination lawsuits to align with federal standards. We will discuss the recent history of this law, the critical reception it has received from some sectors of the media, and what it means to Missouri employers now and in the future.
